Juan Clara

Juan Clara (1875-1958)

Juan CLARA was born in a little town in Spain called Olot in 1875 and died in 1958. He is a sculptist and artist who is well-known for his sculptures of small children having difficulties with chairs and stools. That’s pretty much all he did, as far as we know.
The statues were casted in Goldscheider’s foundry in Paris and many of the sculptures designed by Juan Clara were exhibited in Paris. His very realistic and detailed children’s sculptures still fascinate many people all over the world today.
