Artist Info

Milo, Miguel Fernando Lopez, born on june 12 1955 in Lisbon, is a portuguese artist.

His father was working as an antique dealer, so Miquel got early in touch with different kinds of art and developed a passion for sculpting.

He always wanted to become a member of the Portuguese army until he met a girl short before he graduated school in Lisbon. Because he fell in love with her, he cancelled his plans to become a member of the Portuguese military. The affair ended, but it can be considered a very lucky stroke of fate because Milo decided to stay in Lisbon because of this girlfriend. Sculpting was one of his hobbies and so Lopez decided to study arts and sculpting at a university close to his home. Milo also studied a year abroad in Rome and in Venice, where he learned to speak Italian and learned about the lifestyle of the cities, including the exciting nightlife.

Back in Lisbon Milo sold his first sculptures to a German entrepreneur, who was very enthusiastic.
Nowadays he is still in contact with his first client and is working as a close partner of the foundry of this first client and as a freelance artist.
He married a woman called Isabel, who gave birth to his three children, all boys. He still lives is Lisbon.

Milo creates animal sculptures, modern art and nude figures.
